NW High School Athletic Association

Junior Girls 1A Basketball Districts was hosted on Saturday, February 10 in Marshall, SK.  It was a great day of basketball with teams representing the Meadow Lake League (Gateway Middle School Griffins), The Battle River League (Maidstone Huskies), the Central League (Paradise Hill Panthers), and the host Marshall Marauders.

After a nail-biting near comeback, The Gateway Griffins were able to hold off a late push and win the gold medal game against the Maidstone Huskies in an exciting 72-65 win. 

Congratulations to this year’s 1A Girls District Champions the Gateway Middle School Griffins! Congratulations also to the silver medalist Maidstone Huskies and consolation winners Paradise Hill Panthers.
