NW High School Athletic Association

Jr. Boys 2A Volleyball Districts were held in Lloydminster at ES Laird School on Saturday. Six teams competed in two pools with the Bishop Lloyd Lancers and Holy Rosary Raiders coming out of Pool A and ES Laird Sabres and La Loche advancing from Pool B.

Both crossover semi final games went to three sets. Bishop Lloyd beat ES Laird in the third set by a score of 15-9. Meanwhile Holy Rosary climbed back from a one game deficit to beat La Loche 15-7 in their third set.

In the final game, Bishop Lloyd fought off a late charge by Holy Rosary to win their first set 25-22. In the second set, the Raiders took a quick lead, but the Lancers battled back to win 25-23!

Congratulations to this year’s District winners the Bishop Lloyd Lancers! Congratulations also to the silver medallist Holy Rosary Raiders.
