The La Loche Lakers had a strong second day at the SHSAA 4A boys volleyball championships as they fought to a silver medal finish.

The Lakers finished the round robin in their pool in 3rd place with a 2-2 record. In the play-offs, La Loche would face the Shaunavon Shadows in the quarter final, a match which would push the Lakers to the end as the Lakers held on for a 2-1 victory.

In the semi final, the Lakers would face Melfort, a team who had defeated them 2-0 in the opening game of the championship. This match would be different, as La Loche rallied for a 2-0 win.

The Lakers quest for SHSAA gold would come a little short as they fell 2-0 to the host Humbolt Mohawks in the final.
