Senior Boys Regional Playdowns March 18-19

The SHSAA Regional Basketball Championships were held on Friday March 18th and Saturday March 19th. NWHSAA had teams representing the following categories:

1A Boys - Paradise Hill (hosted in Regina Legacy Christian Academy)
-The Panthers would travel to Regina as the #6 seed and play the #11 seed from Marengo. The boys would win 72-33 on Friday March 18th to setup a date with the home team from Legacy Christian Academy who went in as the #3 seed. The Panthers would fall 82-68 to the team from Regina. 

2A Boys - Maidstone (hosted in St. Brieux)
-The Huskies went in as the #9 seed in the 2A Boys category. In game one on Friday March 18th, they would play the #8 seed from Saskatoon Christian and defeat them 74-57. This would set up a regional championship with the #1 seed and home team from St. Brieux. The Huskies would fall in the game 101-63.

2A Boys - Turtleford (hosted in Regina Laval)
-The Titans went in as the #14 seed in the 2A Boys category. In game one on Friday March 18th, they would play the #3 seed from Reginal Laval and fall 100-44. The team would play a consolation game against #11 seed Outlook LCBI and would lose that game as well 69-37.

3A Boys - Lashburn (hosted in Osler Valley Christian Academy)
-The Lobos went in as the #9 seed in the 3A Boys category. As a result, they would play the #9 seed Winston High School out of Watrous on Friday March 18th. The boys fell 69-62 in a tight game. Falling to the consolation side, the team played RG Huda School and won that game 67-60.

4A Boys - no representation

5A Boys - Lloydminster Comprehensive (hosted in Prince Albert Carlton)
-The Barons went in as the #9 seed in the 5A Boys category. As a result, they faced the #8 seed from North Battleford Comprehensive and defeated the Vikings 84-74 on Friday March 18th. The boys reward for winning game 1 was a match up with the #1 seed and hometown team from P.A. Carlton. The boys fell to the Crusaders by a score of 105-53.
