The North West High Schools Athletic Association congratulates our two athletes who set new SHSAA Provincial standards at the 2019 SHSAA Track and Field Championships.

In the Junior Girls 3000m, Jenna McFadyen of Maidstone High School, broke the previous record of 10:17.20 set in 2008 with an incredible run of 10:06.70.

In the Junior Girls 800m, Avery Pearson of Carpenter High School in Meadow Lake, ran a time of 2:12.46. This eclipsed the previous record of 2:14.70 (hand time) set in 1979 and 2:15.46 set in 2007 (electronic timed).

Congratulations ladies on your continuing accomplishments on the track.
