Hello Coaches!  

            This is a preliminary message to find out how many schools/individuals are interested in entering Jr. Golf District Playoffs.  Goodsoil Central School will be hosting Jr. Golf District Playoffs on Wednesday, June 7th at Northern Meadows Golf Course.  Northern Meadows Golf Course is located 8 km. west of the village of Goodsoil.  For more information on the course layout, please check out their website at www.northernmeadows.com.

            The format for the Junior competition will follow the format of N.W.H.S.A.A. Activity Guidelines for Jr. Golf.  Coaches will be assigned as “competition facilitators.” A shotgun start will be used.  Each school may bring a maximum of 6 competitors; if the school is entering the team competition, no more than four of one gender will be allowed (the other 2 competitors may compete as individuals).

The tournament will begin with a coaches meeting at 9:30 am sharp! Also, we would appreciate if coaches/parents attending could act as competition facilitators. The cost of the tournament will be $30 per player and will include lunch. Please make any cheques payable to “Northern Meadows Golf Course”.

Also, we will be adding the “maximum 12 per hole” rule to our Jr. Competition, it states:

“At the junior district golf competition, once an athlete has reached a score of 12 on any hole he/she shall pick up the ball and continue play when he/she reaches the next hole.”

Please make your athletes aware of this new rule.
