Lyle McLellar from the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association paid tribute to the La Loche Community School Volleyball program with the presentation of a sportsmanship banner. The banner was in recognition of school spirit and sportsmanship displayed by the both the girls and boys teams at various events.

The recommendation for La Loche to be presented this unique award came from a number of coaches from across the province in December of 2015, who had contacted the SHSAA office recommending the award.

Following the Sportsmanship presentation, La Loche Community school honored Phyllis Longobardi a long term staff member and volleyball coach. The event had a number of former players share their thoughts on their teacher and coach who had made such a great impact on their lives. The tribute concluded with Phyllis being recognized as a "Laker For LIfe" by the school. This honor is, and will be, one of a kind.

Congratulations to La Loche Community school and Phyllis on all your achievements!!
